Banda Aceh, April 12, 2026 , Two students from the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Syiah Kuala, have achieved a remarkable accomplishment by winning a silver medal in a national essay competition.

The award was secured by Nabilah Sulfa and Elvi Khaira, both members of the 2024 cohort, during the Nusantara Creative Competition (NCC3) held in Bandung on April 11–12, 2026. The competition brought together participants from universities across Indonesia, who competed by presenting innovative and thought-provoking ideas through essay writing.

In the event, Nabilah and Elvi impressed the panel of judges with an essay that demonstrated strong substance, high relevance to the selected issue, and practical, solution-oriented approaches. Their achievement highlights the academic excellence and competitive spirit of Universitas Syiah Kuala students at the national level.

A representative from the faculty expressed appreciation for the accomplishment, noting that it serves as an inspiration for other students to continue innovating and actively participate in scientific competitions.

The NCC3 competition is recognized as a national platform that encourages young generations to contribute creative ideas in addressing various societal challenges.

By earning the silver medal, Nabilah Sulfa and Elvi Khaira have not only brought pride to their university but also demonstrated that regional students are capable of competing and excelling on the national stage.
