
Banda Aceh, April 23, 2026, A Chemistry student from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), Bunga Ardellia, secured second place in the female dangdut singing category at the Student Arts Selection Event (SELEKSIMI) 2026.
The event, held at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) USK on Wednesday (April 23), carried the theme “Sharpening Talents Towards the National Stage.” It served as a platform for students to showcase and develop their artistic abilities, particularly in the field of music.
Bunga Ardellia, a member of the 2024 cohort, delivered an impressive performance that stood out among participants. Her vocal quality and stage presence were key factors in earning recognition from the panel of judges.
The judging panel consisted of lecturers and professional art practitioners who hold nationally recognized certifications, ensuring a credible and high-standard evaluation process.
The competition featured participants from various faculties within Universitas Syiah Kuala, making the contest highly competitive. Bunga’s achievement represents a notable accomplishment for FMIPA USK and highlights the diverse talents of its students.
Through SELEKSI MI 2026, students are encouraged to continuously refine their talents and pursue opportunities to compete at higher levels, including the national stage.
