Chemistry Department Building, February 13, 2026 - The Chemistry Study Program (CSP) community held a gathering and communal meal on Friday (Feb. 13) at the Chemistry Department Building as part of its longstanding tradition to welcome the holy month of Ramadan.
The event brought together CSP lecturers, laboratory staff, administrative personnel, retired faculty and staff members, as well as a number of students. The cross-generational attendance created a warm and collegial atmosphere, reflecting the strong bonds within the department.
In the opening remarks, the organizing committee emphasized that the pre-Ramadan gathering is more than a ceremonial event. It serves as an opportunity to strengthen ties, foster open communication, and reinforce a sense of unity within the academic community. Participants were also encouraged to embrace the spirit of reflection and mutual forgiveness ahead of Ramadan.
The program began with an opening session and a collective prayer, followed by a friendly get-together and shared meal. Attendees engaged in informal conversations, exchanged updates, and reflected on the department’s growth and future aspirations.
Retired CSP members expressed appreciation for the opportunity to reconnect and witness the department’s continued development. Meanwhile, participating students highlighted the value of interacting directly with faculty members and senior figures in a relaxed setting outside the classroom environment.
As an annual tradition within the Chemistry Department, the pre-Ramadan communal meal continues to symbolize solidarity and togetherness among CSP members. Through this gathering, the CSP community aims to enter Ramadan with renewed spirit, strengthened relationships, and a shared commitment to advancing the department’s academic mission.
