Dr. Khairi, M.Si is an Associate Professor and Head of the Chemistry Department at Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), Indonesia. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Sensors from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), his Master’s in Chemistry from Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad), and his Bachelor’s in Chemistry from Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). His research focuses on chemical and biosensors, advanced separation techniques, and analytical method validation, with recent projects including mercury sensors from waste tire carbon electrodes, biosynthesized silver nanoparticle sensors, and Arduino-based colorimetric sensors for capsaicin detection. He has multiple patents and has collaborated with BRIN Indonesia and UKM Malaysia. Dr. Khairi has published extensively in sensor technology, nanocomposites, and environmental monitoring, and is a member of Himpunan Kimia Indonesia (HKI).
