Irfan Mustafa, S.Si., M.Si. is a lecturer and researcher in Physical and Material Chemistry at Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), Indonesia. He holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry from Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) and a Bachelor’s degree from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS). His teaching and research interests include physical chemistry, nanocomposite synthesis, adsorption, and photocatalysis. Recent projects involve ZnO–activated carbon nanocomposites, chitosan-modified clays, and biopolymer membranes for environmental applications. He has served as Secretary of the Department of Chemistry since 2018 and previously led both the Basic and Physical Chemistry Laboratories. Mustafa is an active member of the Indonesian Chemical Society (HKI), contributing to sustainable material development and green chemistry innovation
