Prof. Dr. Binawati Ginting, S.S., M.Si. is a Professor of Organic Chemistry at Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), Indonesia. She specializes in natural product chemistry, organic synthesis, and bioactive compound development, focusing on antioxidants and anticancer agents from Indonesian plants. A graduate of Universitas Sumatera Utara (B.Sc. 1996; M.Sc. 1999; Ph.D. 2015), she has led and collaborated on numerous national research projects and holds patents for medicated oil and acne treatment formulations derived from essential oils. Her publications appear in Surfaces and Interfaces, Pharmacognosy Journal, and Journal of Advanced Pharmaceutical Technology & Research. Prof. Ginting has served in key academic leadership roles and is an active member of the Indonesian Chemical Society (HKI). Beyond research, she has played pivotal academic leadership roles, including serving as Coordinator of the Master’s Program in Chemistry (2017–2021) and Department Secretary (2001–2004).
