Prof. Dr. Eka Safitri, S.Si., M.Si. is a Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), Indonesia. She obtained her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, her Master’s degree from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), and her Bachelor’s degree from Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK). Her research focuses on biosensors, electrochemistry, polymer membranes, and analytical chemistry, particularly in developing optical and potentiometric sensors for environmental and biological applications. She has led several research projects funded by national and international grants, including collaborations with Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Prof. Safitri has published widely in international journals such as Polymers, Biosensors, Coatings, Results in Chemistry, and Journal of The Electrochemical Society. She is also a member of the Himpunan Kimia Indonesia (HKI).
