Prof. Rosnani Nasution is a Professor, Department of Chemistry, FMIPA, Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), Indonesia. Specializing in organic and natural product chemistry. Her research focuses on exploring the bioactive compounds of local plants for applications in health, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. She has led numerous studies on the antidiabetic, antibacterial, and sunscreen properties of native plants, bridging traditional knowledge with modern scientific approaches. She teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including Organic Chemistry, Advanced Organic Synthesis, and Structure Elucidation of Organic Compounds, inspiring the next generation of chemists. Prof. Nasution holds a patent for biosynthesized silver nanoparticles using Calotropis gigantea and is an active member of the Indonesian Chemical Society (HKI). Her work exemplifies a commitment to innovative, sustainable, and socially impactful research.
