Prof. Dr. Mustanir is a leading expert in organic and natural product chemistry with over three decades of academic and research experience. He earned his Bachelor’s from Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) and completed his Master’s and Doctorate at Kyushu University, Japan. He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Organic Chemistry, Natural Product Chemistry, and Structure Elucidation of Organic Compounds, combining rigorous theory with hands-on laboratory practice. His research focuses on bioactive plant compounds, exploring their antioxidant, anticancer, antimicrobial, and cytotoxic properties, with recent studies on Annona squamosa, Theobroma cacao, and Coleus amboinicus. Prof. Mustanir has also held key leadership roles, including Dean of FMIPA USK, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Entrepreneurship, and assessor for national accreditation agencies. He is an active member of The Chemical Society of Japan and Himpunan Kimia Indonesia, contributing to both national and international chemical research and education.
